Abby Ellis

LPC-MHSP (TEMP)

To say we live in a broken world is an understatement.

After feeling the effects of other people’s brokenness as well as her own, Abby sought counseling over a decade ago to begin healing. She struggled for years with anxiety and assumed she always would until she realized it was her body’s reaction to many of her unhealed experiences. Abby was able to understand much of the trauma she experienced growing up contributed to her need to people please instead of setting and holding to healthy boundaries into adulthood. This had her stuck in a cycle of bad choices and relationships and never feeling enough. Not only did Abby see her own pain and choices she made differently, she saw others and their wounds in a whole new way.

Abby has a deep desire to walk alongside those who are hurting, feeling overwhelmed by shame, and are stuck in the fear of what’s next. Encouraging clients as they face those feelings and embrace new challenges and experiences to live a more fully authentic and joyful life is her passion.

Abby is a native of Memphis and enjoys spending time with her family doing all the wonderful things our city has to offer. Going to concerts and traveling are some of her favorite things to do.
