Cheryl Stacy
MSW, MPH, LCSW
Cheryl seeks to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which clients feel secure as they seek new approaches to living more fully.
A social worker for 23 years in health and school environments, Cheryl has a heart for meeting clients in their time of need and guiding them to the next step. Cheryl began her career in the public health system working as a social worker in multiple programs supporting the physical and mental health of women and children. Passionate about the health and safety of these populations, she returned to school to obtain masters degrees in both social work and public health with special focus in maternal and child health programs.
A move to the Florida panhandle, lead Cheryl to a life-changing job within the local hospital system. As the pediatric navigator, she had the opportunity to help families and individuals through some of their most difficult moments; loss, trauma, and depression. Though her days were often trying, Cheryl found comfort in the story of Esther. Ester had been reminded by her Uncle Mordecai that she was created for the time and circumstance in which she found herself. This sense of purpose gave Cheryl the opportunity grow both professionally and spiritually. Cheryl has always loved opportunities to talk with children and later transitioned to a position with the local school district providing counseling to preschool and elementary aged children.
Though each stage of life brings it’s own challenges, Cheryl firmly embraces the joy that is also possible as we walk through this journey; and she doesn’t believe we have to journey alone. Despite our past, we each have an opportunity to make changes and become a new creation.
