Welcome, fellow journeyer. As you well know, we are living in a season of disruption and crisis. Disruption brings our issues to the surface, and crisis tests our ability to cope. Maybe you are experiencing this reality, and that is why you are here. You are in good company.
If you find yourself needing additional support in this season, you are not alone. These are difficult times, trying times, scary times, and we all need additional support. If I can be that support for you, I invite you to come, share, take a few moments to care for yourself and pursue what you need during this time.
Perhaps this season provides the space you have needed to explore deeper issues of the heart, identity issues, relational issues, events from the past that have been buried, tucked away. If this feels like a good time to do some heart work, I would be honored to navigate that process with you as well. Whatever your need, you are welcome.
Claire is passionate about providing a safe space for even the most difficult stories to be explored in a way that maintains an individual’s dignity and honors the heart. Claire’s desire is for the storyteller to feel seen, supported, respected, and accepted in the midst of the messy, the broken, the still-being-figured-out.
Since 2005, Claire has worked with individuals in crisis, including women who have experienced sexual harm, addiction, unplanned pregnancy, and other forms of trauma and abuse. She has worked in outpatient settings and as a counselor for women in residential treatment for co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. She has taught parenting classes and has extensive experience working with adoptive families, foster families, and biological families of adopted children.
For self care, Claire enjoys leisurely biking, hiking, paddle boarding, canoeing, and pretty much any outdoor activity that includes sunshine and water. She loves to travel (when there are no restrictions) and marvel at the vast beauty of creation. She is an avid collector of inspirational and educational books and sometimes even finishes reading them. Her favorite meal is brunch, always complete with chocolate milk.

Claire earned both her Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Social Work, from the University of Tennessee and Freed-Hardeman University respectively.
