Leigh Harrison

LPC-MHSP, ma, DDS

Leigh Harrison brings years of education and experience to help clients work through various issues. She is passionate about providing a safe space where clients can learn, grow, and make changes in order to live well in a broken world. Leigh acknowledges that life can be difficult; however, her hope is that every client feels seen, heard, and understood.

Leigh recognizes that suffering is inevitable; however, how people choose to walk through it is paramount. Trauma often happens without warning. She has firsthand experience of walking through her own medical trauma in addition to the traumas of others. Her recovery work after her medical trauma has paved the way to her new calling.

Leigh is the third born child in a performance-oriented family. She grew up in Oxford, Mississippi, where her father served as mayor. After graduating from college and dental school, marrying, working as a dentist, and raising three sons, Leigh is presently focusing on coming alongside the hurting. Her life experiences, coupled with her education, bring a well-rounded perspective to clients so that they may experience the depth of God’s love, grace, and acceptance.

Leigh and her husband have been married for 33 years, and together they have raised three wonderful adult sons. She enjoys traveling, being with friends, walking, swimming, reading, writing occasionally, and any outdoor activity in her free time.

Leigh welcomes clients who are struggling as well as those who seem stuck in unhealthy patterns; she counts it a privilege to serve clients in their unique healing journeys.

She longs to be a conduit of His unfailing mercy in the midst of life’s inevitable pains. In the words of C.S. Lewis, “Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our pains. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”

Leigh earned her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
