Shelby Johnson
LPC-MHSP, NCC
Sometimes things are just hard and that’s ok. Shelby loves helping people navigate the difficult stages of their lives and providing perspectives they may not have otherwise considered. After following a career path elsewhere, God showed him through a bunch of what seemed to be coincidental moments that counseling was the path for Shelby to truly be of service to His people.
No matter what a person is going through, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and he wants to help people in our community find that light. Shelby worked in the drug and alcohol community for two years before transitioning into partial hospitalization. There he worked heavily with intense depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation, before coming into community health and working with domestic violence victims.
While not working Shelby enjoys walking, watching Memphis sports and spending time with his wife and three kids.
