Susanna Thompson

Six years ago, Susanna’s world was blown up and her foundational beliefs were nearly demolished. However, the destruction provided an opportunity for the reconstruction of her life. As the clean up and rebuilding was in process, she began to see God’s hand and appreciate his wisdom as her master contractor. She was not left in the rubble and mess, but witnessed God create a new and more solid foundation and, altogether, better creation. He provided her with a greater understanding of his love and plan for her life.

Part of this healing and rebuilding process led her into a new career path as a counselor. Her heartaches and personal difficulties have produced the passion and motivation to help others who have experienced pain and loss and provide them with the help, hope, and the tools to reframe and rebuild their lives.

Susanna returned to school and received her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University. Earlier in her life, she graduated from Grand Canyon University with her bachelor’s degree in special education. She went on to receive a degree as a registered nurse and worked primarily in the field of mental health care.

Susanna is divorced and a mother of two adolescent boys. She loves spending time with her children doing anything outdoors. Her favorite activities include dirt biking, tennis, and pickleball. She and her boys annually volunteer for Joni and Friends Family Retreats- serving families with special needs children.
