Will Weir

GRADUATE-LEVEL COUNSELING Practicum

"Healing is impossible in loneliness; it is the opposite of loneliness." - Wendell Berry

We live in a world where wounds are inevitable, and our hearts are just as vulnerable as our bodies. Both the wounds themselves and our responses to them can leave us feeling broken, numb, and ultimately alone. The road to healing leads to and through relationship.

Will is passionate about fostering that healing through connection—building trust with clients and helping them reconnect with their hearts and their deepest motivations. He works with those seeking freedom from anxiety and depression, as well as those pursuing recovery from trauma. He views counseling as a collaborative partnership, working together to build an off-ramp from the cycles of guilt, shame, and isolation we can find ourselves in.

A student of literature before counseling, Will sees story as a key aspect of how we see ourselves. What kinds of stories have we inherited from our families and experiences? How are they affecting us even now? Will loves to help clients see their troubling narratives woven into a better story that can help us make peace with our pasts and see a vision for the future.

Will loves making music, reading, and fireplace season. He is married with three kids and serves as a pastor in the Memphis area. He likes to run, some, and slowly.
